Best bank to open an account on F-1 before SSN?
SolvedJust landed in Dallas for my MS. Which bank is easiest to open an account with before I get my SSN? Any that waive monthly fees for students?

Bank of America and Chase both open student accounts with just your passport, I-20, and a local address — no SSN required. Chase College Checking waives the monthly fee for students. Bring your offer letter too, it helps.

I used a local credit union near campus — lower fees and friendlier to international students than the big banks.
